North Of Pune

Aundh is one of the most affluent suburbs located in the northwest part of Pune, situated near the Mula River the well-known Aundh Chest Hospital is also located in this area. Other areas including Baner/balewadi/sutarwadi/dapodi Pune University and Khadki come in north west . Located within close proximity to Pune University and the technology park at Hinjewadi Aundh has significantly developed as a residential area. University Road, Pashan Road, Baner-Aundh Road and Aundh-Ravet Road are the four major roads that connect Aundh to different parts of the city. Aundh is about 8 kilometers away from central Pune via the University road. The stretch between Aundh-Ravet Road from Rajiv Gandhi Bridge in Sangvi to Ravet is planned to be developed as a Bus Rapid Transport (BRT) corridor. At present, the Aundh-Ravet road is linked to Wakad road wherein the intersection of these two roads forms a Y-junction. In order to offer a smooth and safe drive to Aundh, an underpass is scheduled to be constructed with a length of about 465 metres and a width of about 7.5 metres. The frequently running PMPML buses offer convenient commuting to major business districts like the Hinjewadi IT Park.

South of Pune

NIBM/Wanowrie /Mohammadwadi /Undri is one of the most prominent locations of Pune and is located in the south western part of the city. It is surrounded by Purandar taluka in East, Velhe taluka in West, Pune taluka towards North and Pimpri - Chinchwad towards South. Undri is located within close proximity to Hadapsar, IT Park in Phursungi and the well-developed residential areas of NIBM Annexe, MG Road, Wanowrie, Pune Camp, Lulla Nagar, Bibvewadi, Fatima Nagar, Katraj-Kondhwa Bypass and Solapur Road. This area is mostly dominated by IT professionals working in companies like Accenture, Amdocs, Centillion Technology Pvt Ltd and John Deere Technology Centre, among others.

Undri is situated within proximity to the Mumbai-Pune bypass and is about 7 kilometres from NH9. Katraj - Hadapsar bypass road and Mohammadwadi Road connect Undri with Hadapsar, the eastern IT hub of Pune. NIBM Road that links with Pervati Road connects this locality to the Pune Cantonment area. Undri is also well-connected with central parts of Pune via various local and interstate highways and expressways like Mumbai-Bangalore Highway (NH 4) and Pune-Solapur Highway (NH 9).
This area also enjoys good connectivity to Pune Railway Station which is about 8 kilometres away and Pune Airport, which is about 12 kilometres away. As far as public transport is concerned, Undri is served by PMPML buses and shared autos that regularly ply on this route. To improve connectivity, the Katraj-Kondhwa-Phursungi-Solapur highway is in the process of widening up to 60 metres. To ease traffic congestion on Pune and Pimpri - Chinchwad roads, the state government has proposed the 170-kilometre long Pune Ring Road project. On completion, this ring road will be interconnected with highways like Mumbai-Pune-Solapur, Pune-Satara, Pune-Nashik and Pune-Ahmednagar. It will be a 6-lane road with two service lanes and will connect fringes of Lonikand, Undri, Pashan, Baner, Wakad and Dehu. This project will be completed in four phases.

There are several schools, restaurants, shopping centres, hospitals and banks in Undri.
